Creative Portraits Investment Guide

Hi I'm Siorna

Get to know your London portrait photographer

Hello! I’m a professional portrait photographer and I hate having my photograph taken!

I became a photographer to help people feel comfortable in front of the camera because I know a good photograph of yourself can improve confidence. I’m here to support you and create photographs that you will love using.

I’ve spent years learning to light and pose people so they look their best. These aspects of photography make a real difference in an authentic and creative photograph and it’s the part I love most.

My work has featured in several newspapers, including the Stylist, iNews and the Independent, alongside regular photo stories for the Islington Gazette and Ham and High. I am sincerely grateful that my clients use my work in their professional lives and it’s always an honour seeing them in print.

The Siorna Photography Experience

Always on your best side

These kinds of portraits are special events and the most important thing to me is that you feel comfortable during your photoshoot.

When choosing a photographer for your portrait session, you need someone who will be able to make you feel comfortable in your own skin, while capturing something joyful and authentically you. You want to trust them 100%, and to be friends. Hiring a photographer who has not only the style of photography you are wanting to cherish forever, but also a positive and supportive attitude is so important. That’s where I come in.

I guide every person through their portrait session. I am by nature a super organized person who has a checklist of your must-have set ups and moods. I will support you in the poses and lighting that work for you. Not everyone is the same.

You will have your own private area to change at the studio and we listen to music with refreshments on hand during your session.

After your session, choose your photographs.

After our time together, we will view your photographs over Zoom. I’m here to support you in your choices, and you can bring anyone else on the call to help too! I find a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine makes the process more relaxing. You select the photographs you want to keep and it gets cheaper the more you buy.

Kind Words from Clients

Frequently Asked Questions

A: YES! I love to! We have a style consult to discuss the looks and moods of your session and match your outfits. From your styling consult I’ll create a packing list tailored to you so you know what to bring on the day.

Yes! I have a few wonderful make-up artists who can be available for your shoot. We talk more about your requirements at the style consult and you can talk directly to them if you’d prefer before your shoot.  Prices start at £225 for both hair and makeup. This usually takes about an hour before the photo shoot. Refreshments will be on hand too!

A: Yes, of course. Each image is priced at £97. The total for a photoshoot and digital image would be £247.

A: First off, AMAZING! I’m really excited to work with you. To book me for your session, simply send me an email saying “Let’s do this!!”. I’ll send you over everything you need to get yourself on my calendar.

I have worked in London museums (the British Museum and Natural History Museum) and know the importance of quality printed work for your memories. Your printed products are handcrafted to museum standards by a multi-award-winning printing laboratory. There are a range of frames, wall art and collection boxes available. These art products are as special as your photoshoot. You can see these in person at the studio.

A: Of course! You have personal printing rights for the images you purchase and can print those files on your own. That being said, I would urge you to consider purchasing through me if you want the best product quality and long term value.  I use the best photo labs in the industry, and if you were to see the difference between my labs and Snappy Snaps, you’d be shocked by the difference. While it is completely optional, I would say if you’ve taken the time and care to book me, you’ll love seeing your custom art in high-quality prints.

A: Yes! I know photos are a huge investment, so I am happy to help with payment plans. The £150 session fee is always required in full, but image collections can definitely have split payments into equal 1/3’s or 1/4’s if that works best. The purchased images will be delivered once final payment is made. Just let me know when you are selecting your collection which you’d prefer!
